Job Purpose The Area Head of LLP drives and grows profitably and at high customer satisfaction within the UK&I by translating global and regional strategy and initiatives into Area Product and Performance plans and ensure this is being executed and provide support with expertise and guidance. Working in conjunction with Area Head of Logistics & Services and sales; identify new market trends, and further develop a strong, bold, forward-thinking strategic plan with a robust roadmap for a market leading LLP product within the UK and Ireland. Drive the pricing strategy, tariffs, and execution of the business plan, engage key stakeholders and be accountable for delivering our financial targets. Be the connector, the Subject Matter Expert, and the face of the product within the UKI Maersk Group, supporting to deliver our strategic goal. Drive growth and profitability through active participation and support within commercial pursuits and enable customer retention by effectively articulating our LLP solutions. Strategy Overall responsibility to design, articulate, and deliver the strategic plan and visible roadmap of the product, ensuring full alignment with Regional and Global Product Teams Optimization and growth of the Product portfolio within the Area (footprint/locations & services), Identify market trends, opportunities and customer needs Manage capacity and product offering in accordance to market needs Be the connector between Customer Experience, Sales and key stakeholders, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned to ultimately deliver growth. Product Ownership Decipher results and have the flexibility and adaptability to change direction setting when required to meet targets Continuous development of the product and innovation of new ideas to generate new customers and additional revenue Adopting or sharing best practices with other area’s around new products, market intelligence, process improvements and new software capabilities Develop and align on the sales strategy and specific customer targets in conjunction with the Area Head of Product & the Area Heads of Sales Support the sales teams on regular customer visits and provide Subject Matter Expert information, guidance around market conditions, trends and gather further customer insights Develop strong working relationships with our customers and partners Ensure commercial are fully trained, equipped with the latest up to date information, product solutions and competitive pricing Provide commercial support with pricing, solution engineering options and material for tenders and projects Relationship Management / Procurement Build bridges between Product development, Delivery, CX and Sales Drive cost reductions by optimal allocation and contracts Profitability & Pricing Management Drive product with Sales, Delivery & CX community Area responsibility for all Pricing activities incl. but not limited to Price setting Strategy and Margins, cost saving initiatives Ensure area pricing in compliance with global governance Performance Management Manage and improve the performance of the Service/Product in the Area Product profitability - Focus on maximize revenue, EBIT and GP through upselling and cost management, develop new revenue streams Understand and dissect performance figures to identify revenue leakage or to target specific segments that demonstrate healthy profit and benefits Monitor operating costs and customer level profitability to ensure all activities generate revenue Ensure Revenue Leakage is addressed at all points in the billing process along with CX and Finance teams Strengthen the engagement with global network and drive value through the network New products introduction and implementation (Go Live) Drive performance transparency and continuous improvement culture.
