We have exciting opportunities for full or part-time Trainee Clinical Support Workers to join our nursing team based at the Conquest Hospital.
We are looking for people who have excellent interpersonal skills and are willing to learn, to join our friendly team. You may be looking for a career change or just starting out, no previous care experience is required.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to enhance their basic skills and would be expected to work within a multidisciplinary team. Successful applicants will be expected to work flexibly on both day and night shifts.
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Part Time 23 hours per week
Full training will be provided, and successful applicants will be supported to undertake the Care Certificate and would be expected to progress to a band 3 Clinical Support Worker - Higher level within 6 months.
The Clinical Support Worker - previously known as HCA's (Band 3) is a member of the
care team who provides:
• Personal care or chaperone duties
• Supporting patients with bathing, toileting, dressing and meals
• Records patient information
• A range of delegated clinical care duties
• Undertakes and records patients’ vital signs
• Escalate any concerns in observation or change in
patient’s condition
• Support and supervision of Band 2 clinical support
workers
• Enhanced observations
• Patient escort role
