We are delighted to offer a vacancy with our Ward Clinics team based at Corbett Outpatients. The post is suited to a skilled Clinical Support Worker who is passionate about providing the best care and patient experience for our urology patients.
We are searching for caring individuals who understand the needs of our patients and can display compassion and patience at all times.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Support Worker will work together with members of the Nursing / Midwifery team and contribute to the implementation of a high standard and individualised patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
The post holder will be required to communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives and must be able to recognise and report to the appropriate person any changes in the patient’s condition which may require the intervention of others.
The post holder will be assessed on appointment on their level of competence and may be required to undertake development to include basic skills and in house development programme.

Person specification
Qualifications & Education
* English and Maths Qualifications at one of the following academic levels/grades:- Level - Grade A to D, CSE Grade 1 only, GCSE Grade A to D, GCSE Grade 9 to 5, Functional skills Level 1
* Care certificate or relevant acute experience
* Commitment to undertake in house training
* NVQ Level 2 in healthcare or willingness to undertake NVQ Level 2 in healthcare, as appropriate
Knowledge & Training
* Demonstrate knowledge of duties required as a Clinical Support Worker
* Understanding of confidentiality
Experience
* Previous experience of caring for people in a care worker role within hospital, community or residential nursing home setting
* Experience of customer care/dealing with the public
Communication and Relationship Skills
* Able to cope with distressing or emotional circumstances
* Clear communication skills, oral and written
* Good organisational skills
Physical Skills
* Demonstrates a caring attitude to patient care
