MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Director of Sales:
* Accountable for developing and implementing a Global Sales Strategy to target continuous profitable growth within the Palintest four geographic Hubs of Europe & UK, Americas, APAC and MEA.
* Responsible for embedding Sales leaders within a global hub structure with the most beneficial routes to market i.e., distribution, value partners, representative, direct sales, online etc.
* Responsible for reviewing and guiding hub sales strategies and plans, based on hub and country level planners.
* Responsible for setting global budgets, sales targets and ensuring the necessary reporting structure, systems and communication are in place company wide.
* Responsible for embedding and maintaining the necessary sales rigour to support sales momentum and results against regional and global targets.
* Responsible for recruiting, training and leading an exceptional Global sales force who are recognised as being a voice of authority within their given field of expertise.
* Responsible for setting the sales budget, targets and bonus structure that incentivise and create a 15% YOY profit growth in line with the business objectives, budget period is April to March each year.
* Accountable for maintaining a Global partner network who are invested and rewarded on our mutual success with clear contractual and business obligations that are the foundation for our mutual success.
* Accountable for embedding the rigour process and know how to be successful in framework and major contract negotiations.
* Responsible for understanding global and regional market trends and drivers and articulating this to the Senior Management Team.
* Responsible as an integral member of the leadership team during NPD, by disseminating the voice of the customer and acting as Board level Sales lead throughout the product development gate process.
* Responsible for working with our global Marketing team to aid and support exceptional marketing activities that elevate brand, product and service on a 12-month rolling plan.
* Responsible for continuously monitoring, collating, and feeding back competitor analysis and where our competition is investing in solutions.
* Responsible for acting as Palintest voice of authority at global speaking events, webinars and launches.
TRAVEL
* Travel is required to strategically build and support your global team and Hub Managers. Travel includes but is not limited to regional hubs, distributor and end user premises, manufacturing locations and exhibitions.
* To embed the necessary sales rigor across the global sales team, so customer receive the same high level of sales interaction irrespective of their global location.
* To quickly evaluate and optimize the global distributor network in line with our ambitious geographical and revenue growth plans.
* To ensure the Palintest brand is recognized as one of the top instrumentation companies and able to win against large global competitors.
* To maintain and grow Palintest market share against low-cost alternative technology and solutions.
Knowledge & Skill
* HND (Engineering or chemistry) or equivalent experience as a minimum.
* Experience of successfully managing an international sales team.
* Experience in managing multiple routes to market including global distribution.
* Knowledge and experience of managing a successful P&L.
* Rigorous in managing sales performance through KPI’s, reporting and business/sales metrics.
* Extensive B2B and/or B2C sales experience and a proven track record of year over year sales growth via direct, distribution, OEM sales, etc.
* Proven ability to drive business strategy and to develop business plans to increase market share.
* Excellent communication skills to a wide variety of decision makers.
* A mature level of emotional intelligence and a willingness to mentor others.
