DUTIES:
Reporting to the Coordinator, Attendance and Schedules, this position will be responsible for Workforce Time & Attendance timekeeping for the Nursing and Dietary divisions. Responsibilities include:
1. Processing call-ins for staff absences and payroll preparation.
2. Advanced scheduling input of data, shift preference, and calculation of overtime.
3. Entering of missing time off requests and managing nursing call bell and life safety system duties.
4. Data entry and general clerical duties.
5. Supporting employees and managers through the WFM process.
6. Reviewing Timesheet Exception reports and resolving common issues.
7. Ensuring accurate timesheets and matching scheduled vs. actual hours.
8. Printing and posting schedules and assignment sheets.
9. Completing clerical duties as assigned, including ordering supplies and maintaining files.
10. Performing Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation’s Health and Safety Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma plus one year of post-secondary courses in Office Administration, Business or equivalent.
* Over six (6) months of experience in a computerized office environment with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to interact respectfully with the elderly and maintain good relations with residents, staff, and the public.
* Experience in a long-term health care setting is an asset.
* Completion of gerontological courses is an asset.
* Commitment to ongoing education and professional development is an asset.
* Knowledge of nursing, medical, or dental documentation is an asset.
* Experience with electronic scheduling programs and/or payroll systems is an asset.
* A Physical Demands analysis will be completed after approximately six months in the position.
