Where you fit in Based in the Southern North Sea, Operations & Maintenance Tech (Electrical) will be based on Sole Pit Clipper. Sole Pit Clipper is described as LEAN asset and follow a similar operating model, with recent changes making multiskilling a key requirement to working in ONEgas. Reporting to the platform supervision team (Operations & Maintenance Supervisors) technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of installation plant and equipment. They are required to maximise and optimise production opportunities and achieve day-to-day production targets, whilst maintaining plant equipment, undertaking any corrective and preventative maintenance tasks as required. This will include investigating anomalies and carrying out front line problem solving, reporting/rectifying issues as required, to ensure the processing and ancillary plant are operated within the specified operating window. Ad-hoc visitors and vendors may also be directed by the Operations & Maintenance Tech (Electrical). Notification of business unit transition. This is a position in the One Gas West asset organisation. On 30th July 2024, Shell announced the sale of this asset to RockRose Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Viaro Energy. At completion the employment of the successful candidate for this role will transfer to a Viaro Energy company under The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 ("TUPE")). Completion is currently estimated to take place in mid-2025. More information can be shared during recruitment process. What's the role? Your role will include: - Support delivery of production targets through monitoring and optimisation of plant through all the above. - Act as appropriate to ensure the facility production, environmental targets, operating costs are achieved, and potential losses minimised. - As part of the O&M team - advocate the "One Team" approach where most appropriate resources are available to carry out the task at hand, including supporting the OIM and Operations / Maintenance supervisors in delivering improved efficiency. - Contribute to the 5 Whys process to ensure all production losses are suitably investigated and root causes identified. - Involvement with offshore/onshore meetings (e.g. surveillance and defect elimination meetings). - Engagement in, and lead to an appropriate level, Modifications to the Installation. What we need from you You'll ideally have: - Demonstration of excellent safety leadership and behaviours, ensuring that Shell's HSSE expectations are communicated, maintained, and implemented - To be fully conversant with all Installation activities to be able to make on the spot decisions regarding conflicting activities and plant control to prevent any unsafe acts - To be a competent Isolation Owner and permit holder in P-Vision - To actively participate in auditing as required and near miss reporting - To become involved with one or more of the following assessment processes: COSHH, task-based risk assessment, manual handling - To be fully conversant with the content of the Platform Operating Procedures and Work Instructions - To gain awareness of the Installation Safety Case and other relevant documentation. - To maintain a high standard of ownership in areas of responsibility - Emergency Response First line response to emergency situations under direction of management team. Emergency response duties in accordance with the Installation Station Bill - Proactive monitoring of plant and equipment, recording any defects as required. - To be conversant with electronic maintenance tool, preferably SAP - reporting of defects in liaison with discipline technicians to ensure correct data is input into SAP and materials, resources and target dates are captured - Comply with the Permit to Work system, including creating / assisting with the creation of Isolation and Work Permits (including procedures) in readiness for general maintenance execution tasks and Turnarounds. - Proficient at executing Planned and Corrective Maintenance routines - Good communication skills required to liaise with the onshore team to ensure that they are aware of the status and process requirements - To work on Normally Unmanned Installations when required to do so (Walk to Work Vessel / Flying squad) Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in oil & gas, chemical or nuclear industry in electrical & instrument maintenance, in addition to Operations but other trades will be considered. Control Room Operators (CRO), Responsible Person Electrical (RPE) will also be advantageous, but any technician applying must be willing to develop into the role if required.
