Carnival UK is in search of a Applications Team Leader on a 6-month FTC basis, to play a crucial role in supporting our technological direction and nurturing a high-performing team. Working within our Delivery team in our newly created Digital Function, this role will be responsible for a team of application analysts who collectively deliver, operate and maintain a diverse portfolio of applications in service across CUK. Through collaboration with other leaders and senior analysts across Technology, the Applications Team Lead owns and oversees technical maintenance, enhancements and support activities, ensuring quality outcomes that support our business. Your responsibilities will include:
* Oversee and manage workstreams and queues of work, including support queues such as incidents, problems and service requests; and delivery workstreams such as application upgrades and enhancements. Effectively communicate to stakeholders, and proactively flag conflicting priorities and challenges.
* Act as a senior escalation point, mentor, and guide to the Applications team, making decisions as needed to guide daily priorities
* Ownership of specific activities, including improvement initiatives, maintenance activities and support activities. Lead cross-functional (matrix) teams to accomplish these activities where required
* Leading and managing a team of highly capable analysts, developing a people-oriented culture with an emphasis on quality, inclusion, key skills development, and retention.
Positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK08 offered as a full-time position, on a 6-month fixed term basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
To thrive as a Applications Team Lead, we're looking for:
* Experience in applications, service delivery or other IT operational discipline
* Previously worked with project management principles
* Previous exposure working with vendors and suppliers
* Familiarity with software development and lifecycle methodologies, such as DevOps and Agile
