Title - Resilience Taxonomy Manager Level - 3 Reporting to - Head of Taxonomies Pay - £60-65k Climate Bonds Initiative is an international NGO working to mobilise global capital for climate action. Our mission is to develop trusted standards, tools, and market intelligence that accelerate the transition to a climate-resilient and low-carbon economy. Purpose: The Resilience Taxonomy Manager will lead the ongoing development and implementation of the Climate Bonds Resilience Taxonomy (CBRT), a critical framework guiding investments in climate Adaptation and Resilience (A&R). This role will oversee working groups, manage technical partnerships, and support the integration of the CBRT into other taxonomies. The goal is a practicable taxonomy that is fit-for-purpose and relatable to a non-technical audience. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the CBRT development – Oversee the ongoing refinement and expansion of the CBRT, with annual updates, and development of user-friendly guidance and tools, internal systems and processes should be designed and established for continual refinement and maintenance of the taxonomy. Manage the Resilience Taxonomy Advisory Group (RTAG) – Facilitate engagement, drive strategic discussions, and ensure expert inputs shape the taxonomy, and position the RTAG as a community-of-practice that advocates for the adoption and application of the CBRT. Oversee Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) – Coordinate consultants, technical partners, and stakeholders to produce high-quality outputs. Provide guidance to Resilience Taxonomy Coordinators to manage these working groups. Manage anchor partners for each TWG. Develop and manage workplans for each TWG. Support adoption and integration – Work with other Climate Bonds teams, particularly Taxonomy, Standards, Market Intelligence, Capacity Building and Technical Assistance, to embed CBRT into national frameworks, investment frameworks, market tracking, financial regulations, and other use cases. Stakeholder engagement and partnerships – Cultivate relationships with financial institutions, investors, governments, and multilateral agencies to ensure inputs, feedback, and continuous road-testing of the taxonomy to ensure it is fit-for-purpose for relevant use cases. Monitor policy and market trends – Stay ahead of emerging policy developments and best practice in adaptation and resilience finance. Funding and resourcing – Support fundraising efforts and grant applications to secure long-term resources for CBRT development. Requirements Essential: Undergraduate degree in any relevant subject. Experience in A&R and infrastructure. Decent grasp of sustainable finance concepts Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate technical content clearly Proven experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives or frameworks Excellent engagement and relationship management skills, including a track record of collaborating with a cross section of stakeholder groups Strong analytical, research, and strategic thinking skills Proven experience of delivering projects independently Ability to manage complex projects with multiple partners Fluency in verbal and written English Existing network in A&R finance Desirable: Advanced degree in any related subject.
