Accounts Assistant A well-established organisation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting key financial functions. Salary: £25,000 - £28,500 Location: Burntwood (Office-based) Key Responsibilities: Processing and checking invoices accurately and efficiently. Raising and processing sales invoices on a daily and monthly basis, ensuring alignment with client requirements to minimise queries. Validating amounts and job times entered. Sending weekly hire reports for contract invoicing. Issuing payment applications and raising invoices accordingly. Uploading invoices to client portals. Reviewing monthly sales and order books to identify any missing revenue. Posting costs associated with jobs, including subcontractor expenses. Reviewing and evaluating sales ledgers for inconsistencies. Conducting daily and weekly checks, reporting anomalies as necessary. Flagging incomplete jobs to the Service Delivery team. Supporting month-end, year-end, and annual financial processes. Reviewing overtime requests for approval from engineers. Producing and managing monthly timesheet reports, identifying and resolving queries. Assisting with credit control for key accounts, including statement production and debtor analysis. Contributing to the implementation of a new ERP system. Maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships across teams. Adhering to company policies and procedures. Occasional travel to Burton may be required. Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a similar accounts role. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident and professional approach to problem-solving. Ability to work collaboratively across business functions. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Good listening and questioning abilities with a desire to learn and develop. Qualifications: GCSE qualifications (Grade C or above) required. A-Levels or college-level qualifications preferred.
