Job Overview:
Our clients who operate this high quality 100 room hotel in Harrogate town centre, are looking to recruit a Nights Manager to join their Guest Service Team.
As Nights Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the hotel operation runs smoothly and efficiently overnight. You'll be visible in the reception and lounge areas and have responsibility for the overall security of the hotel during shift, including security walks of the property.
You will have previous experience in a similar environment, with a positive "can do" attitude and a strong work ethic, as you will be working closely with all operational departments within the hotel to ensure a seamless experience for all our guests. You will have a sound knowledge of Health & Safety including Fire Safety.
This position would suit someone with previous hotel night experience, who is self-motivated, organised and has a passion for service excellence.
You'll act on tasks that have been passed on from the day shift teams, reviewing & rectifying any issues which may arise.
With room service available until late, you'll liaise with our Guest Service Team regarding handover of the bar and make sure guests are still receiving an excellent service.
As Nights Manager you will:
* Experience delivering a 1st class hospitality & service experience, in a busy, hands-on venue
* Have a professional, outgoing and positive personality with excellent interpersonal skills
* Have a passion for guest satisfaction and superb organisational and administrative skills.
* A professional and confident demeanor is essential, as is the ability to show the company ethos & high standards every day in service & management.
* Understanding of the latest H&S guidelines and procedures.
* Experience working in a similar sized venue, and within a ‘hands on’ management structure.
* Be a strong leader, being able to enthuse those around you
* Be able to lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the front of house team
* Have the ability to self-manage and the ability to adapt and improvise to changing situations.
