The Apprenticeship will be a mix of online and face-to-face through Microsoft Education. There will also be the need to visit an external training centre 3 times during the course (so you must be flexible to travel for this).
The course covers the following areas, all of which you will gain first-hand experience of on site:
1. Conduct thorough examinations and maintenance of equipment
2. Identify parts and timings required to carry out installation, repair and maintenance activities
3. Carry out maintenance and replace parts
4. Manage work allocation making use of IT and paper-based planning systems
5. Carry out maintenance on manually operated appliances
6. Maintain mechanical tools and those needing calibration and ensure the workshop is kept tidy
7. Give guidance to customers and clients, including information on parts and accessories
8. Full assembly of products according to industry standards
9. Safely decommission equipment
10. Prepare reports using clear, concise language appropriate to the target audience
11. Maintain safety for self and others
Skills/Qualifications required:
1. Positive can-do attitude
2. Willingness to learn and develop knowledge through extensive studies
3. Strong communication skills both written and verbal
4. An interest in engineering
This is a full-time/permanent opportunity and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00.
Salary: £22500 - £23000 per annum
