Job Description
Are you ready to accelerate your career with a dynamic and innovative F1 team? We have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptionally talented Application Simulation Powertrain Engineer to join our Simulation group within the Engineering Office at Enstone. This position will play a crucial role in helping us push for podiums and race wins.
Our team is dedicated to engineering excellence, pushing the boundaries of technology and optimising performance to achieve our goals. We are built on collaboration and mutual support, fostering a vibrant, inclusive culture where your ideas and contributions are valued.
Your Challenge:
As an Application Simulation Fluid Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of fluid dynamics analysis, playing a pivotal role in developing and validating simulation models that meet the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. Your primary focus will be on conducting simulations and analyses that are crucial for the performance and reliability of our hydraulic and fuel systems. You will read, interpret, and process experimental data to validate and correlate these models, ensuring their accuracy and efficiency. Your role will require a proactive approach to teamwork and innovation, actively contributing to the development of future fluid systems through advanced simulation techniques.
Who We Want:
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in high-performance hydraulic and fuel systems, educated to degree level or equivalent within Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. You must have extensive experience in 1D simulations of hydraulic and fuel systems. For hydraulic systems, we are particularly interested in modal analysis, the use of Moog valves, accumulators, and variable displacement pumps with fast and violent dynamics. For fuel systems, we seek expertise in PSD analysis, modal analysis, dampers, experience with gerotor and centrifugal pumps, and cavitation phenomena. Experience with 3D CFD, particularly using StarCCM and OpenFoam, applied to these systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in simulation software such as Dymola and Amesim is required. Experience with Altair (NanoFluidX), Matlab, and Python is appreciated. You should be highly skilled in reading, interpreting, and processing experimental data to correlate models. Additionally, you must excel in teamwork and demonstrate a proactive approach to collaboration with other team members.
What We Offer:
Working for Alpine F1 Team means collaborating with a talented team, directly impacting race car performance on a global stage, and enjoying our state-of-the-art facilities. We offer competitive remuneration packages, private medical healthcare, access to a free on-site gym, a subsidized restaurant, and many additional benefits. The thrill of pioneering innovation in Formula One racing provides numerous career development opportunities in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
At Alpine F1 Team, we celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can be their true selves. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. We are committed to leading by example in promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging in our society.
