What's involved with this role: Role: Risk Manager Job Ref: QAD 0801/726 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate Hours per week: 37 hours Contract Length: Initial contract 12 months Location: Reading, West Berkshire We are seeking a Risk Manager with extensive experience in risk management and strong stakeholder engagement skills. The role involves leading and running risk workshops with various teams and areas across the programme, working to identify, assess, and manage risks. Responsibilities include developing and implementing mitigating actions, handling issue management, and determining potential risk exposure. The ideal candidate should have proven expertise in conducting Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA), as well as a demonstrated ability to lead meetings and workshops with multiple stakeholders to ensure comprehensive risk identification and management. Key Accountabilities: Lead and manage risk, opportunity and issue management across defined programmes &/or projects. Deliver consolidated view of the total risk exposure for relevant projects and programmes within area of deployment. Embed risk, opportunity and issue process and drive reporting cadence. Conduct assessments to define and analyse possible risks. Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks. Apply risk management methodologies and risk analysis tools. Generate and maintain programme &/or project risk registers as required. Provide risk modelling including programme and cost modelling, as required, using quantitative risk assessment tools and techniques. Actively manage risk and opportunity mitigation actions and burndown. Create contingency plans to manage crises. Key requirements: Extensive experience in Risk Experience in QCRA, QSRA analysis Excellent stakeholder engagement Experience in leading meetings and workshops with various stakeholder to identify risks Experience in using P6 and/or Safran (desirable).
