The People Business Partner will work closely with senior leaders and business managers to provide strategic support and guidance on people related matters, helping to align people strategies with overall business goals. You will ensure appropriate people solutions are provided in a timely manner within the overall strategic and operational context, serving as a key advisor on employee relations, performance management, organisational development, and change initiatives. Main Responsibilities (but not limited to): To provide a pro-active HR service which provides managers and staff with clear, professional expertise and advice which supports the achievement of the organisation’s objectives and embraces best practice, regulatory compliance and legislative requirements. Analyse trends and metrics and reporting KPI’s and data effectively. Manage and resolving complex employee relations issues and grievances, eliminating risk to the business. Contributing to the development and implementation of people strategies and policies to ensure that they reflect employment law and are aligned with the organisational values, culture and objectives. Partnering with key stakeholders to ensure that all projects and initiatives are appropriately communicated and implemented in a timely fashion. Contributing to a positive employee relations culture, respecting formal and informal channels of communication with recognised trade union representatives, whilst also developing new models for communicating and engaging with staff. Ensure the absence is managed effectively within the group; monitoring, tracking and carrying out sickness reviews to support management processes. Analysing current data to explain trends (future and past), to find root causes and developing short, medium- and long-term plans/solutions. Ensure that people systems and administrative processes are efficient, effective and responsive to the company needs, reviewing practices and the use of technology where necessary. Requirements to be considered: Excellent working knowledge of the key HR areas, with particular emphasis on employee relations, performance management, absence management. Excellent, well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative as well as being able to work seamlessly within a team. Excellent understanding of people management and techniques with the ability to apply these effectively. Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Professional HR certification (e.g. CIPD Level 5 / working towards Level 7). Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4/5 or equivalent, including English and Maths. Benefits: Assistance towards future qualifications.
