Job Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven pharmacist to join our friendly patient-focused team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. You will need to be motivated, organised, and willing to work as part of a team with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude.
Responsible for leading, managing, delivering, planning and developing the clinical pharmaceutical services to the Acute and Emergency Care.

Main Duties of the Job
To support and delegate responsibility for the provision of clinical pharmaceutical services to the area of responsibility within the Division.
• To deputise for the Pharmacy Team Lead – Integrated Medicine when appropriate.
• To provide a consistently high pharmaceutical service to patients in line with the Trust corporate objectives and the NHS plan.
• To provide leadership and training of the team that delivers this service to ensure service provided is to high standards.
• To manage medicine-related risks and ensure Trust Medicines policy and medicines legislation is complied with within the areas of responsibility.
• To work with the Pharmacy Team Lead and Emergency care pharmacist in further developing and enhancing the ED Pharmacist role to Same Day Emergency care and Emergency medical unit.
• To be a senior member of the Pharmacy department.
• To work as an independent prescriber (where qualified) within an agreed area of practice to meet local best needs of patients.

Person Specification
Education, Qualification & Training
* Registered Pharmacist on GPhC register.
* Member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (MRPharmS) or equivalent professional body.
* Post-graduate diploma in clinically-based pharmacy or recognised equivalent.
* First line management course.
* RPS faculty Stage II accreditation.
* Management Training.
Experience
* Significant post-registration experience as a hospital pharmacist.
* Delivery of pharmacy services to a range of specialties.
* Evidence of significant relevant Continuing Professional Development.
* Significant experience of delivery of pharmacy services to a broad range of specialties including Acute and Emergency Care.
* Experience of project management, service implementation or redesign.
* Experience in pre-registration training.
* Experience of line managing pharmacy staff.
* Experience in teaching doctors and nurses.
* Experience of managing staff.
* Experience in trainee pharmacist training.
* Experience of training other pharmacy staff.
* Experience of conducting service audits and the use of performance indicators.
* Experience of delivery of clinical pharmacy service to a specialist level.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
* Able to prioritise and manage own workload.
* Work, communicate and provide effective leadership within a team.
* Clear and concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multi-disciplinary team, at meetings, with patients and carers and to ensure records are kept accurately and in a legible manner.
