Our client, a leading Food manufacturer, is urgently looking for a Logistics Team Lead to join their site in the West Midlands area and manage their overall inbound and outbound supply chain process.
You will lead a team to ensure the adequate supply of raw materials and packaging for production, as well as overseeing the timely despatch of finished products to meet customer service levels.
Key responsibilities:
1. Manage planning, procurement, production, inventory control, internal logistics and distribution to customers and third-party storage.
2. Maximising service levels and customer satisfaction, whilst maintaining control of inventory levels.
3. Manage lead times on all procurement requirements.
4. Lead the team ensuring they meet agreed KPI standards and manage according to budget and operational capacity.
5. Ensure production forecasts and promotional activity is clearly communicated to all relevant departments in a timely manner which ensures the site is adequately resourced to meet this requirement.
6. Monitoring stock levels and tracking products.
Candidate requirements:
1. A degree or relevant professional qualification.
2. At least 3 to 5 years Supply Chain experience in a Food or Drinks manufacturing environment.
3. Demonstrated Purchasing, Inventory Management, Materials Planning, Stock Replenishment or Outbound Logistics management experience in a FMCG environment.
4. Effective people management and leadership skills.
5. ERP systems experience (SAP will be advantageous).
Salary will be circa £45K to £50K + Benefits. The role will be based onsite in the West Midlands area. 25 leave days + 8 bank holidays.
