Quality Technologist (Maternity Leave)
Role reports to: Technical & Quality Director
Job Purpose
•To ensure departmental paperwork, systems and Action plans are up to date.
•To generate paperwork (Specs for internal and external use) accurately and on timely.
•To systematically supply product safety information to the customer for future deliveries.
•Working with food service customers to ensure timely delivery of quality information.
•To be the industry contact for supplier assurance systems with Certificates of Analysis.
Key Activities
•Product evaluation panels to review, record and report range to schedule.
•Quality Attribute sheets. Writing of quality standards for product and packaging.
•Specification review dates.
•Supplier performance reviews.
•Quarterly Quality Meeting collating data & reporting.
•Certificates of Analysis for customers deliveries.
•Owning and delivering key points in the Technical Action Plan.
•Specification Writing – Concept and Sales. Signing of supplier 14 pager specs.
•Approve of New Line Forms.
•Preparing product samples for chemistry and micro. Reviewing and filing of results.
•Procedure checks/writing – dependent on experience.
•Training status/co-ordinator for FUT.
•Customer Complaint logging.
•Complaint trending.
•Invoicing sign offs.
•Supplier BRC accreditation checks.
•New supplier sets up.
•Campden Feta Project progression and set up Halloumi to follow.
•Monthly KPI reporting.
•Customer portals – main Foodsconnected (FM) and Erudus (FS).
•Internal SOP system development.

To be able to prioritise work accordingly.
Basic IT skills.
Team player.
Skills and Knowledge
Experience in working in a quality function, not necessarily food.
ISO or Alcumus business type experience would be an advantage for the future.
The use of sales processing systems eg Microsoft D (or similar)
