Key Responsibilities :
In this role, you will assist with various product management responsibilities and work closely with Product Management, Application Technology, EH Manufacturing, and Regional Commercial teams. You will prepare and compile technical files and reports, along with supporting data, to support the certification process. Working with notified bodies and other third-party certification organisations, you will achieve certification for Tensar’s products and solutions. You will help execute product strategy, assist in product planning and marketing, and develop collateral and sales tools that support the selling process.
Managing contracts and relationships with third-party certification bodies, you will attain and maintain a high level of competence with national and international norms and standards affecting Tensar’s products and solutions. You will work efficiently within required timescales, respond promptly to certification enquiries providing sound technical advice, and help plan internal and external test programmes. You will also support Accreditation Body audits, assist in developing Tensar’s technical capabilities, and contribute ideas for new initiatives.
Ensuring the product / solution is checked or tested and deemed fit for purpose against legal and industry standards, you will offer and ask for opinions in a professional constructive manner, encourage honest conversations, and promote transparent working practices. You will regularly seek and give evidence-based feedback in a timely manner, checking that expectations have been understood, and finding creative ways to build healthy working relationships across teams, sites, and regions.
Cultivating a curious mindset within the team, you will keep updated on functional and industry developments and cutting-edge technology, champion change, and demonstrate enthusiasm for new initiatives, explaining the reasoning behind them to gain buy-in from your team. You will confidently and clearly communicate with colleagues and customers to understand their needs, adapting your style to inspire and engage them.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in certification or product management, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors. Specific experience with CE marking or similar national or international certification systems is advantageous, with experience in Construction Products Regulations being a distinct advantage.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly take ideas on board, identify key issues, and handle large quantities of information.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work on several projects to different deadlines.
* Some commercial awareness and understanding of how this role impacts sales.
* Experience in managing projects internationally and across territories is advantageous.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and credibly through presentations, conference calls, and webinars.
* Fluency in English is essential; a second European language is advantageous.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, databases, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
