Job summary The post holder will work in a nurse led catheter clinic where patients will attend for routine and non-routine catheter care. You will work alongside a senior nurse and manage the catheter clinic caseload and provide a high standard of care in line with IPC policy and guidelines. The post holder will be able to travel across boroughs. Clinics are held in BD, Havering and Redbridge. Main duties of the job The post holder will have or be prepared to undertake the following duties: o o Venepuncture o o Suprapubic/Male and Female urethral re-catheterisation o o Bladder wash outs o o Urine testing o o Teaching students, patients, and carers o o Involvement in auditing o o Care plan writing and review. o o Collection of specimens, i.e., CSU, MSU, Wound swab o o Blood glucose monitoring - measure and interpret blood glucose levels. o o Blood Pressure Monitoring, NEWS2, Vital signs, routine 12 lead ECG. o o Assessment of nutritional intake, malnutrition, supplements. About us Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period.
