Withernsea High School is located in the pleasant, rural seaside town of Withernsea and serves the population of the town and surrounding villages.
Duties include:
1. Working with families to improve students' attendance by conducting home visits to absent students.
2. Engaging with families and identifying barriers to attendance.
3. Supporting students in attending school.
You must have your own vehicle together with a full, clean driving licence and appropriate insurance for business use to visit students in our community at their home addresses. Mileage will be paid.
The role may also involve driving a school minibus; therefore, a MiDAS licence or willingness to undertake training (for which the school will provide) is also required.
You should be flexible, able to work independently, meet pre-determined deadlines, and possess good verbal communication skills. You should also be proficient in building positive relationships with students and have a professional approach to working with teachers and other members of the Inclusion Team. A friendly, outgoing but firm personality is also essential.
Hours: 17.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 12 noon during term-time as part of a fixed term contract until 31 August 2025.
