Principal PsychologistWalsall, West Midlands£58,250 - £68,250Hours - 37.5Vacancy TypeFixed Term - Full TimeBased in Walsall, West Midlands, the hospital is a community-facing rehabilitation and recovery (R&R) service, set within a modern, purpose-built centre. It is specifically designed to support both males and females who have severe, complex and enduring mental health needs, which might include treatment-resistant conditions.Please note that this is a fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave.The length of the role is expected to be for between 9 and 12 months.You must be aQualified Psychologist, holding membership in a recognised professional association (HCPC).You will have experience and knowledge in carrying a designated caseload, including assessing patients with complex needs, and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatment within adult mental health services.You should be committed and comfortable working in an MDT setting and offering advice and consultation to other professional colleagues. The post-holder will contribute to staff training and staff support including reflective practice spaces.As the Principal Psychologist you will:Conduct individual therapy sessions with patientsexperiencing a range of emotional distressPerform comprehensive psychological assessments and formulationsCollaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure integrated and holistic careAdminister and interpret psychometric tests to support diagnostic and therapeutic processesFacilitate group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based practices to address a range of needsDevelop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with professional standards and regulationsTake a key role in service developmentContribute to MDT care planning and reviewContribute to professional development within the teamContribute to audit and researchEngage in CPDQualifications and Experience:Extensive experience in providing one-to-one therapy to clients with various emotional and psychological issuesExpertise in conducting assessments, developing formulations, and delivering psychometric evaluationsExperience in facilitating group work and therapeutic interventionsIn-depth knowledge and experience working with adult caseloadsDisclosure All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland.We are an equal opportunities employer.Priorywill cover the cost of a DBS check.TPBN1_UKTJ
