An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse post within the surgical division to join a dynamic and growing team on Charlwood Ward. Charlwood Ward Is a 20 Bedded Acute Gastroenterology Ward. We Look After a Variety Of Patients Within Both The Gastroenterology Field And The Surgical Field. The Types Of Patients You Would Expect To See Are ALD/Liver disease IBD - Crohns/UC Cancers - liver, pancreas, gall bladder, bile duct, esophagus Malnourished patients requiring additional nutritional supplements either enterally or parentally UGI bleeds or LGI bleeds and many more The post holder will be expected to act as a role model in the assessing, planning, implementation, evaluation and delivery of a high standard of care for patients admitted to the ward. The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers within Charlwood ward. Take part in the development and continual improvement of the service ensuring it is responsive and patient centered with the support of the Sister/Charge Nurse, Senior Sister and Matron. Be expected to work autonomously and independently, take part in the daily running of the department whilst providing advice and support to nursing assistances. The service we provide is 24/7 therefore the post holder will be part of a shift rotation. You will ensure that all patients and carers are kept fully informed whilst ensuring the highest possible standards of care are delivered, liaising with members of the multiple disciplinary teams to ensure patients receive a high standard of care.
