GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Poole.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will be working closely with students who require additional support, fostering their academic and personal growth within a nurturing and inclusive environment. What you have to do as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:
Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs.
Assist students in both one-to-one and group settings to ensure access to the curriculum.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being.
Assist the class teacher in implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
Support students' emotional and social development through positive engagement.
Encourage student participation and build confidence through supportive interactions.
Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records.
Assist with personal care and mobility where necessary.
SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Requirements:
Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance.
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs as an SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable.
A degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education or a similar field.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
