The Role We are looking to recruit a QI specialist Midwife / Nurse to join the maternity and neonatal team at University Hospital Wishaw. The successful candidate will Facilitate the development of quality improvement initiatives from local and national safety recommendations including helping to progress the SPSP Perinatal programme, Excellence in care, teaching staff quality improvement skills and project outcomes and encouraging clinical staff involvement in improvements. Use recognised quality improvement tools and methodologies to facilitate and lead projects. Prepare and deliver presentations at meetings and forums on the progress and action plan development Organise the dissemination of QI project findings to all relevant staff within the service using tools such as the QI displays in the clinical areas. Work effectively and facilitate collaborative working between the multi professional teams towards common shared goals, new ways of working, policy development. What we'll need you to bring Registered Midwife on Part 10 of the NMC Register or Registered Nurse Part 1 of the NMC Register Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice. Management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and continuous professional development Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
