How do you ensure high levels of safety and quality across various sites?
A fantastic opportunity and a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and on-time delivery of complex multi-million pound OHL (Overhead Lines) projects on the electricity network so that we can connect and transport more renewable and low carbon energy to our homes and businesses, enabling the UK to meet its climate, energy security commitments and net zero target.
You’ll be National Grid’s representative on various OHL construction-based projects for new build electricity transmission towers and refurbishment works. This will support the wider electricity network reinforcement ensuring the grid upgrade goes smoothly covering sites in the South East area. We’ll provide you with a company vehicle, paid travel, and an excellent work/life balance culture.
Essentially, you’ll ensure all site-based construction activities delivered by our principal contractors are efficiently managed in accordance with National Grid policies and procedures. You’ll employ the duties of ‘Client representative’ with a keen eye on safety, and the quality of the installation.
Minimum Requirements:
1. OHL site experience – exposure to OHL delivery.
2. SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
3. A proven track record in electricity (or comparable) industry construction.
4. Can prove a good understanding of CDM regs and quality management systems as supervisor under NEC.
5. Client Representative experience.
6. An awareness of Project, Contract and Stakeholder management.
7. Full UK driving licence.
