What you can add: The Radiology nursing team provide an invaluable service supporting patients undergoing Radiology guided procedures across the Trusts three acute hospital sites. While previous Radiology nursing experience is preferable, full induction and training will be provided. The main duties of the role will be Supporting consultant Radiologists undertaking radiologically guided procedures (Ultrasound and CT guided procedures-Biopsies and drainages), patient care and management while in the Radiology department and handover to the ward/discharge post procedure Assessing and monitoring patient conditions Checking symptoms and vital signs and arranging diagnostic tests Displaying excellent analytical ability and sound decision making in changing clinical situations Working as an effective team member and promoting team and interdisciplinary relationships The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above. What youll need: A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices IV Cannulation Clinical management of patients Familiar with supporting aseptic technique procedures Pre-assessment of patients prior to procedures Who are NHS Professionals?
