Part Time Payroll Officer Bedford 32-35k pa Overview We are seeking an experienced Part Time Payroll Manager to oversee the end-to-end payroll operations for our large temporary workforce and contingent workers. This is a critical role responsible for managing the weekly payroll across our growing multi-site locations, as well as monthly payroll for our head office. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full payroll process including time tracking, deductions, tax calculations, and payments for both weekly and monthly payroll cycles. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees and contingent workers. Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers. Implement and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Analyse payroll data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for process improvements. Collaborate closely with the Finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and address any discrepancies. Maintain detailed payroll records and generate required reports for management and regulatory purposes. Lead the ongoing enhancement of payroll systems and technologies to drive efficiency and automation. Provide training and support to managers and employees on payroll-related matters. Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in a payroll role, preferably in a multi-site or high-volume environment. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards. Proficient in using payroll software and systems to process and manage payroll. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll issues. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive financial information. Effective communication skills to interact with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams. Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
