Description
As a Paraplanner you will play an integral role in the delivery of outstanding client experiences at Progeny. Working in close collaboration with your Paraplanning team, Client Executives, and Financial Planners, you will assist in the delivery of bespoke financial planning solutions for our clients, supporting them to achieve their financial goals for the future.
You will produce high-quality suitability letters and reports, propose and implement recommendations, clarifying financial goals and objectives to ensure plans are aligned to client aspirations.
Deeply client-focused, you will embrace opportunities to support client meetings, developing excellent rapport during your face-to-face interactions and ultimately enhance client experience through both the application of your technical knowledge and people skills.
We are seeking a candidate with paraplanning experience (2+ years) who holds a Certificate in Financial Services and two RO exams from RO2 to RO6 as a minimum. As a fully competent Paraplanner, you will be able to demonstrate good application of technical knowledge and skills, showcasing an ability to undertake highly technical, precise, and detailed work to a consistently high standard.

What you will be doing
As a Paraplanner you will assume responsibility for:
* Research and analysis: conducting in-depth research and analysis to identify suitable solutions, performing and presenting cashflow modelling scenarios to clients.
* Technical work: preparing suitability letters and reports for annual reviews and new business, preparing tax calculations and financial plans for clients.
* Liaising with providers: speaking to external companies to obtain information about existing and potential investments.
* Fulfilling Client requirements: determining client objectives and priorities, whilst considering client attitudes to risk and capacity for loss.
* Managing documentation: preparing client files for review meetings and maintaining these compliantly throughout the client advice journey.
* Compliance and regulation: working with honesty and integrity, following the principles and rules of the FCA, demonstrating adherence to relevant regulations, rules, and procedures at all times.
* Supporting the team: sharing expertise and best practice with Senior Client Executives, assisting them with complex client matters, and carrying out peer reviews.
* Development of technical knowledge: dedicating time to meet continuous professional development requirements and maintaining your product and technical knowledge.
About you
To thrive and be successful in the role you will need:
* Financial Services experience: possess sound understanding of financial products, FCA principles, and regulatory standards.
* Great tech skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Word/Excel skills and a good working knowledge of different provider platforms.
* Methodical and organised: an ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload effectively to produce thorough work that meets the needs of our clients and colleagues.
* Excellent writing skills: skilled in compiling suitability reports and other documentation, ensuring written work is clear, accurate, and concise.
* Exemplary communication and relationship building skills: a collaborative approach to working with Financial Planners and other colleagues to ensure great client service and outcomes.
* Passion for sharing knowledge: driven to share your expertise and problem solve with others, share best practice, and coach your colleagues to support their development.
