Why Join KPMG as a FP&A Manager Sitting within the firm’s central FP&A team and reporting into the Head of FP&A, the FP&A Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the firm to set out and achieve its medium to long term financial objectives. The role is centric to the firm’s financial planning activities and processes, ensuring that the organisation’s strategy is backed by robust and up-to-date financial plans aligned across the firm. It is suited for an enthusiastic and pro-active team player, who applies a methodological and structured approach to delivering tasks and problem solving. This role provides the candidate with opportunity for growth and development. What will you be doing? Together with the Head of FP&A, manage the budgeting & planning processes, ensuring deliverables/milestones are achieved on time and at the right level of quality. Calculate/manage key input/output financial planning/budgeting variables/assumptions and data sets. Consolidate financial plans / budgets at various levels of the firm, making necessary adjustments depending on the level of consolidation e.g., intra-firm elimination. Produce templates for the submission of financial plans by business areas to central FP&A, balancing ease of use/efficiency with value adding insights/commentary. Carry out scenario analysis to assess the impact of internal or external factors on the firm’s financial plans. Prepare papers for presentation to the firm's governance structure e.g., ‘Board’ papers in respect of the annual budget. Be the business’ SME for a number of financial variables emanating from financial planning processes owned by central FP&A e.g., cost rates. Coordinate activity on FP&A-led projects, working closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Support the Head of FP&A on strategic initiatives (e.g., M&A) and other assignments as required. What will you need to do it? Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA or equivalent) or Accounting/Finance related degree. Demonstrable direct relevant experience Advanced Excel with exceptional analytical skills; ideally including Power Query. Proficiency in using Power Point to compile reports/insights for finance and non-finance stakeholders. Experience with financial planning and analysis tools; ideally having experience with the BOARD platform/software. Highly organised, with a methodological and structured approach to delivering tasks and problem solving. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
