Job overview
We are looking for an experienced clinical or counselling psychologist to lead on delivery of DBT skills groups within our adult community teams. You will lead and supervise DBT practitioners delivering standalone DBT groups within Integrated Recovery Hubs to people accessing support within our Complex Emotional Needs pathway.
You will need to be trained in DBT to Intensive level or its equivalent. This post is a Trustwide position for our adult community services across the five London boroughs we serve.
Main duties of the job
Clinically you will be reviewing referrals for DBT skills groups, conducting assessments, and co-facilitating DBT skills groups. You will deliver assessments in our Complex Needs Services and ensure there is a system in place for recording outcomes for patients accessing this intervention.
You will lead on recruiting DBT practitioners and support them in accessing the required training. You will provide clinical and professional supervision to this staff group.

· To lead in the development and systematic provision of high-quality specialist personality disorder interventions, specifically DBT skills groups in adult community services.
· To work autonomously within professional guidelines and ensure effective governance of psychological practices.
Person specification
Knowledge & Skills
* Doctoral level knowledge of clinical or counselling psychology
* Skills in complex psychological assessment and management
* High level ability to communicate complex information effectively
Experience
* Experience of delivering full Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
* Assessed experience of working as a qualified psychologist for a minimum of four years
Training & Qualification
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
