About the role The People & Culture Partner is a strategic advisor within the People & Culture Team, responsible for aligning HR practices with business objectives to drive organisational success within Codestone. The role involves collaborating with department leaders to foster a positive work environment, support employee relations, organisational development efforts, recruitment needs, integration activities linked to new business acquisitions, and providing mentoring and coaching across the business and within the People & Culture team. As part of this role, the successful candidate will initially take on a number of responsibilities from the People & Culture Advisor position during a period of maternity leave. Key skills for this role include strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, excellent communication, and a comprehensive understanding of HR best practices. Your day-to-day will include: • Partnering with department leaders to understand their business objectives and provide strategic HR support. This involves aligning HR strategies with business goals and ensuring effective implementation of HR initiatives. • Managing employee relations issues, providing guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. This requires maintaining a fair and consistent approach to employee relations. • Conducting organisational assessments and providing recommendations to improve team dynamics, productivity, and overall employee engagement. This involves analysing data and feedback to identify areas for improvement. • Working together with the Head of Talent on talent and recruitment needs, ensuring alignment with business needs and organisational culture. This includes participating in interviews and candidate selection processes as needed. • Implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This involves regularly reviewing and updating policies to reflect best practices and legal requirements. • Alongside the Head of Talent, facilitate training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and knowledge. This includes supporting the coordination with external providers and delivering in-house training sessions. • Leading change management initiatives, helping to guide employees through organisational changes and ensuring smooth transitions. This involves developing communication plans and providing support to managers and employees. • Taking ownership of integration activities linked to new business acquisitions, uniting the business through contractual and cultural measures. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition and alignment with company values. • Alongside the Talent Acquisition Manager / Head of Talent, provide mentoring and coaching across the business to support employee development and growth. This includes guiding employees in their career paths and providing feedback for continuous improvement. • Ensuring robust and effective consultation with colleagues based on business and/or contractual changes. This involves seeking input from relevant stakeholders and communicating changes effectively. • Providing HR metrics and reports to senior management, using data to drive strategic decision-making and improve HR practices. This includes tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying trends. • Promoting a positive organisational culture by supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee engagement activities, and wellness programmes. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders to create a supportive and inclusive work environment. This includes analysing situations, identifying root causes, and implementing practical solutions that drive continuous improvement and support organisational success. o Communication Clear and effective communication is essential for success in this role. This competency involves delivering messages confidently and appropriately to diverse audiences, ensuring transparency, and fostering open dialogue to enhance understanding and alignment. o Collaboration Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals is a key element of the role. This competency involves prioritising tasks, managing workloads efficiently, and ensuring successful project completion. o Commercial Awareness Understanding the broader business environment and aligning HR strategies with organisational goals is critical. This competency involves recognising the commercial impact of HR initiatives and contributing to the overall success of the organisation. Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a HR Business Partner role. Demonstrable acquisition expertise, including organisational integration, harmonisation of employment terms, and cultural alignment during mergers and acquisitions. Strong employee relations skills, with the ability to manage complex issues independently and advise senior leaders. CIPD qualification (or working towards), with in-depth knowledge of UK employment law and its application. Experience working with a global workforce, managing people across multiple regions and understanding diverse employment practices. Performance and engagement analytics expertise, with the ability to use data to drive people strategies and enhance organisational culture. Proven strategic business partnering and change management experience, aligning people strategies with organisational goals.
