Electrical Estimator My Client are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong estimating skills, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively plan and execute projects. If you have a background in electrical estimating, contract management, and technical writing, we encourage you to apply Responsibilities: Develop project budgets and cost codes. Assist in preparing technical proposals, including scope of work, management plans, work sequences, safety, quality control, and commissioning. Gather data and assist in bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals. Present clear, detailed project scopes to customers and meet with potential clients to discuss proposals. Review plans and specifications to determine material and equipment requirements, ensuring compliance with project standards. Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and price change orders. Maintain accurate cost data, ensuring up-to-date supplier and contractor pricing. Identify value-added solutions and cost-saving methods. Recognize and resolve change orders efficiently. Qualifications: Education & Experience: 10 years of experience with a related associate degree. 12 years of experience with a high school diploma or GED. Requirements: Proficiency in Accubid and other estimating software. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and safety standards. Familiarity with electrical equipment, materials, and specifications. Experience with contract documents (e.g., drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, change orders). Exposure to technical writing. Ability to plan, organize, and execute work efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must pass a background check. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Local candidates preferred. Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification. Journeyman Electrician License. Physical & Cognitive Abilities: Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Fine motor skills for computer work and document handling. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze information and apply problem-solving skills effectively.
