Position Overview:
The Marketing Assistant will support the administration, development, and implementation of the strategic marketing plan: brand story, products and services, events, social media, websites, analytical reports, and presentation materials.
Working in close partnership with colleagues across the group, the Marketing Assistant will play an important role in evolving the Direct-to-Consumer programme, B2B and traditional marketing. Driving awareness, education, and brand preference through digital platforms and fostering long-term loyalty is key to business growth. Meeting agreed KPIs around spend, PPC, effective web platforms, conversions, and ROI. Brief agencies and suppliers on requirements, quotes, copy checking, and creative development.
Our aim is to evolve the bereavement sector, encouraging more open conversations about death and dying to help people move through grief more smoothly to enable wellness and life after loss.
Key Responsibilities:
MARKETING ACTIVITY
* Marketing plan: Support development and implementation of a successful annual plan on time/within budget
* Digital strategy: Support the management of social media to engage with existing and new consumers
* Advertising & PR: Effectively support the development of local awareness campaigns to increase brand share and reach
* Website: Support website(s) performance, SEO, content, necessary software updates, Ortto (marketing automation), CRM (Opus) in collaboration with the Brand and Marketing team
* Printed collateral: Ensure literature is correct, up to date, and available delivering brand and sales messages
* Assets: Brief agencies on requirements, quotes, copy checking, and creative development
* Events: Support planning, development, implementation, messaging, and delivery of events (B2B/B2C)
PROMOTION AND COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGNS
* Support development and implementation of integrated campaigns that attract and nurture new consumers to the business by creating awareness and converting them into paying customers.
* Evolve DTC nurture activity through to purchase and repeat purchase to increase lifetime value
* Launch new products in collaboration with Park teams, commercial teams, and operational teams
* Ensure compelling consistent brand content for social media platforms to build the brand, increase sales, and drive traffic to website(s)
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
* Events: Support the planning and delivery of the Park’s local events (B2B/B2C) and community engagement
* B2B activity: Support delivery of the Partnership for Growth programme to enable business growth
* Industry / Market analysis: Support research and data gathering that provides actionable consumer insights for continuous improvement of the Marketing plan
* Provide data-driven support to demonstrate high levels of customer advocacy with measurements
* Balanced scorecard tracking: To ensure ROI on marketing spend and drive Group KPIs
* Competitor analysis: Conduct competitor reviews with research for relevant products/services evolution
STRATEGIC GROWTH
* Strategic growth: Provide team support for analysis associated with new product, campaign, and Park launches
* Partnerships: Provide hands-on project support for the successful delivery of partnership opportunities (third party)
* Management of agreed projects, proactive involvement with team projects and approvals
FINANCE and ADMINISTRATION
* Effective management of allocated Marketing budget with an accurate audit trail
* Maintain up-to-the-minute training and personal admin
* Support analysis of the effectiveness of all marketing efforts across relevant projects
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years’ experience within the marketing field
* Commercially aware
* Good team collaboration skills
* Team player
* Computer literate and competent with Microsoft, CRM concept
* Confident and accurate written and verbal communication skills
* Digital marketing automation
* Consistently exercises good judgement
* Pride in their work – attention to detail
* Full (Manual) Driving Licence required
