This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Refugee Resettlement service as part of Housing Support Services.
You will assist to develop and facilitate a wide range of health and wellbeing activities.
You must have experience of developing, delivering and facilitating a variety of participative social activities; as well as dealing with the public and working with local communities, vulnerable groups, including refugees, and a range of stakeholders and service providers.
It is essential that you have an awareness of safeguarding vulnerable peoples’ issues and other relevant legislation, effective organisational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, able to plan ahead and anticipate potential obstacles in advance and the ability to relate to people at all levels and a flexible approach to work.
You will be expected to manage your own workload with minimum supervision anduse your own initiative when making decisions.
You must have a flexible approach to working out with normal working hours.
Previous administrative, numerate and record keeping experience aswell as experience of cash handling and using common IT Systems is also essential.
An SVQ Level 2 Social Care, Health Care or equivalent is desirable.
Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups and building good relationships with them, First Aid certificate, record keeping experience, experience of Microsoft Office packages and full driving licence is also desirable.
