Department Applications are invited for a highly motivated Research Trainee to join Dr Beth Bell’s research group in the Department of Education at the University of York. The Research Trainee will work on a project funded by the Nuffield Foundation, entitled “Improving wellbeing-focused online media literacy in schools”. The project will explore the effectiveness of wellbeing-focused online media literacy interventions in English secondary schools by: Conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis of existing research to identify effective interventions and their components Engaging in thirty interviews with Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) teachers to understand their decision-making and identify any barriers to implementation, and Working with RSHE teachers and curriculum resources developers to produce practical ‘what works’ guidance for teachers. Role The Research Trainee position is for 20 months on a part-time basis (0.5fte). It provides an excellent career development opportunity for a current or aspiring PhD student. The successful candidate will: Contribute to the development a robust systematic review protocol and its successful delivery Recruit participants, conduct interviews and co-production workshops, and support other aspects of data collection Assist in writing academic papers Participate in dissemination activities Provide general administrative support to the project and research team
