Madisons Recruitment are currently recruiting, on behalf of our client, for a Quantity Surveyor, for a permanent position based in Surrey.
Responsibilities
Communicate with supply chain and team members regarding new and current projects
Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
Ensure timely completion of estimates
Understand scope of work to bid
Prepare cost analysis
Establish and maintain working relationships with subcontractors
Submit tenders in timely manner
Present tender adjudications to seniors
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
3+ years experience in construction - working with RC Frames, basements, slabs & general groundworks
A relevant degree
Be able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
A strong understanding of residential construction processes and refurbishment
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Be able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
Impeccable problem-solving skills
Review and evaluate cost estimates
