About the Role
This position is responsible for the general and specific job duties of T.E.A.M. Systems as described below:
Your Responsibilities
* Act as a representative of T.E.A.M. Systems to all tier II Suppliers developing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
* Support and achieve Purchasing and Sales KPI targets.
* Help develop, maintain and monitor Sales and Purchasing Budgets.
* Support and review Purchasing BOM, working within the APQP process and aligning with cross-functional departments and requirements.
* Support and review records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories.
* Integral part of APQP Process from design phase through launch and continuous improvement, ensuring successful programs.
* Confer with engineering development team to understand design cost drivers and control inputs.
* Analyze and monitor sales records, trends and economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns.
* Maintain and update required reporting for spend and savings analysis.
* Review and analyze Customer requests for quotation from Manage Account Managers, initiate new business quote meetings working with cross functional departments to gather required quote details.
* Review and analyze Cost Cards and Price Breakdown Collaboration Documents and provide to Finance and Magna Account Managers for completion of the Quote Capital process and Customer submission.
* Manage Customer Applicable Portals and Web Apps.
* Work with Magna Account Managers to close open financial issues with Customers.
* Participate in and present information/data as required by Magna Account Managers and Customers.
* Review future Molding Capacity with cross functional departments to ensure desired capacity levels.
* Ensure all IATF and MAFACT requirements (as they relate to the department’s responsibilities) are complied with, and assist maintaining all required IATF and MAFACT forms and related documentation.
* Support/maintain basic principles of the Employee Charter and Constitution by conducting business dealings honestly, ethically and in strict compliance with all laws and regulations; avoiding any situation in which your independent business judgment might appear to be compromised.
Who we are looking for
* The qualified candidate must have a minimum of five years of Purchasing experience and three years of Sales experience in an automotive manufacturing environment and ideally, working knowledge of automotive Tier 1 production with exposure to engineering, environmental, materials and logistics.
* Must maintain excellent communications skills working with customers, suppliers and the entire organizational team.
* Must be very detail oriented.
* Must be highly motivated, drive continuous improvement and cost savings and be comfortable with change.
* Knowledge of IATF and ISO requirements a plus.
Your preferred qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Business or Engineering with business discipline preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels (verbal and written).
* Effective negotiator, with superior analytical/problem solving and decision making skills.
* Strong PC skills, including proficiency with an ERP system (TRANS4M a plus) as well as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes (or a comparable email system).
* Ability to travel, with little notice.
* Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
* Good organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects while meeting critical timing schedules.
