Our Area operations Lancs team has a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to join them in Lancashire. Our Role As a Project Engineer you be responsible for managing the Rising & Lateral Mains programme of works on various sites and have responsibility for the delivery of installing the Monitoring equipment programme in ED2. You will Carry out contractor inspections, complete RLM surveys, populate work banks, liaison with stakeholders including Housing associations, Local authorities and customers, managing replacement works with Delivery Partners and to produce reports for Operational performance which align to corporate systems. In this role, you can expect to: Prepare and plan forward programmes of works. Reviewing and reporting on progress and forecast on the RLM programme of works and identifying efficiency savings for the business through the contractor team. Managing project specific issues ensuring works are completed in line with the Customers objectives, identifying areas of poor performance and provide recommendations of resolution. Managing operational contractor related risks and managing the Delivery Partners works ensuring they are completed in line with Electricity North West s policies and procedures. Ensuring Electricity North West standards of health and safety are maintained in line with company and HSE regulations through periodic site inspections. Certifying contractor payments on completion of works including approval of variations applicable to jobs ensuring projects are managed tightly and costs are continuously driven down. Holding regular progress meetings with stakeholders to provide feedback, address areas of concerns, forecast spend and plan future works. Ensuring Electricity Northwest systems are accurately updated capturing information including costs, programme and variation for projects completed by the Delivery Partners. Ensure the project closure process is followed including all as-built information is correct and submitted by the Delivery Partners Promoting the importance of Customer satisfaction through the contract team ensuring minimum disruption to our customers, minimal complaints, and improved interaction with customers on site. Answering technical queries raised by the contractor and providing solutions. Ensuring programmes of work are executed within the Regulatory framework. Undertaking quality performance inspections of site installation works. Who we are looking for To apply for this Project Engineer role, you will need a minimum of a City & Guilds level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of ENWL LV Operational Authorisation. In addition you will also: Hold or willing to work towards an HNC in electrical engineering Project Management qualification (Desirable) NRASWA supervisor (Desirable) Have knowledge of technical and regulatory codes of practice. Have experience of health and safety compliance. Have proven programming and planning skills. Have proven report writing skills. Have excellent customer relationship and engagement skills. Have experience working within a team. Hold a full valid UK driving licence (Essential).
