About the Role:
As an ASD Teaching Assistant (Primary), you’ll support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them overcome learning barriers and reach their potential. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the development of tailored education plans for students with ASD.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students understand and complete tasks.
* Monitor progress, provide feedback, and adjust support strategies as needed.
* Share insights in meetings to enhance student learning and well-being.
* Foster a welcoming atmosphere where every student feels valued and included.
* Use a variety of teaching techniques to meet the needs of different learners.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
* Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping students with ASD thrive.
* Additional qualifications or training in special education (desirable but not essential).
