Therapist for Social Change – Counselling, Psychotherapy & EMDR
At WellBe, we are proud to lead the way in social change, using our therapy skills for good! As a team of therapists, we know firsthand how life-changing therapy can be. But with mental health challenges on the rise and the growing cost of support, we are on a mission to maximise our impact.
That’s why we aren’t just looking for therapists—we’re looking for therapeutic change-makers!
Our Mission
We recognise that mental health difficulties are increasing, and not everyone can afford therapy. That’s why we reinvest the money raised through our 5-star rated training and counselling services into social impact initiatives to break down barriers to better mental health in the community.
As a growing organisation, we need therapists who are flexible, proactive, and open to growth. While your primary role will be managing a caseload of clients, you will also play a key part in our mission to use therapy for social change.
Your role includes, but is not limited to:
1. Providing one-to-one therapy sessions tailored to client needs.
2. Managing a client caseload, ensuring compliance and ethical best practice.
3. Collaborating with a dedicated team to use therapy for social impact.
4. Welcoming people to our Chatty Café in Yeovil (one session per week).
5. Contributing ideas and insights in service planning meetings.
6. Engaging in training and development activities.
7. Supporting other WellBe project development initiatives as needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Minimum level 4 qualification in counselling
2. Ideally 2 years post-qualification of experience within a counselling role
3. Continued professional development within related fields
4. Knowledge of how to respond to trauma responses within sessions
At WellBe, your voice matters. We value your wellbeing, co-production and shared leadership, meaning you help shape our future vision. Our office is located next to a beautiful park, and we actively encourage staff to take regular breaks to prioritise wellbeing—because when we care for ourselves, we can do the best client work possible.
“I’ve been so lucky to work in a place that truly prioritises safety, support, and genuine care. Our team is built on respect, collaboration, and shared experiences—creating a space where everyone feels heard, understood, and valued. This role has helped me grow so much, both personally and professionally, and has given me a real sense of belonging.”
