The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to serve our growing customer base of care homes and schools. You will need to be someone who is good with customers but also organised. The successful candidate will have a good work ethic and be a team player.
As a BDM you will win new business and increase sales to achieve growth targets, as well as manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers.
This is not an office-based role so proximity to our head office in Reading is not necessary. The role will involve travel throughout the territory.
Key Responsibilities
•Achieve monthly targets in a profitable and sustainable way
•Manage portfolio of existing customers in the territory
•Constantly seek new opportunities to expand the portfolio of customers in care and education sectors
•Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
•Maintain appropriate records on contacts and sales activities
•Call on customers on a regular basis and respond to enquiries and issues in a timely manner
Your skills
•Account management experience, managing multiple accounts
•Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with individuals of all levels
•Excellent organizational and time management skills
•Experience in healthcare and/or janitorial sectors is desirable but not essential
