Overview BNP Paribas Commercial Finance is an Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lender. The vacancy sits within the Operations Department of the business, working in a team with two other Client Executives and reporting to the Client Executive Team Leader. Purpose & Scope of role The Client Executive role is focused on the day-to-day running of client facilities and is positioned as the ‘front line’ of client engagement for the business. The successful candidate should ensure that professional standards of customer service are delivered to clients, whilst maintaining internal controls and the monitoring in line with Group procedures. Client Executives must engage with a number of internal (e.g. relationship management, new business, treasury and finance) and external stakeholders (e.g. client contacts, service providers) to ensure the smooth running of client facilities. Key Responsibilities of role: - Day-to-day management of the operational running of client facilities to agreed service levels, as set out in department procedures. Including client support and the handling of operational queries. Processing received client sales ledger files. Including the calculation and processing of manual charges and retentions. Processing received debtor files, in line with internal acceptance procedures. Initiating and controlling outbound client payments within processing deadlines. Monitoring and reviewing client transactions against expected activity with reporting and escalation to the Team Leader. Performance of documentary controls in line with internal business and compliance procedures. Maintaining an effective liaison with all business line and support functions to ensure that our clients’ needs and requirements are met. To support the operational setup of existing and prospective clients including system functionality, trust account management, debtor management, and online access. Maintenance of audit trails for operational activity as required by internal procedures. Occasional activities Involvement in new and ongoing internal projects as required. To attend client visits as may be required. Ad-hoc support to the wider Operations Department as needed. Any other duties as may be required from time to time. Experience and Qualifications : Essential: ? Technical – Experience working in a finance-based office role. Strong numerical and analytical skills. A high level of experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, with a specific focus on Microsoft Excel and higher-level functions (e.g. SumIf, VLookup, Pivot Tables). ? Behavioural – Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Ability to meet reporting deadlines as required. Resourceful, results orientated, and an ability to work unsupervised. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. The right candidate will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to problem solve. ? Willingness to travel as may be required by the company. ? Willingness to seek and attend additional training as required. ? Valid passport for travel. Desirable: ? Technical – relevant experience in Asset Based Lending and / or Receivables Financing. Knowledge of Receivables Financing and Asset Based Lending products. ? Qualifications – a degree or qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Business or Finance), UK Finance – Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending (IFABL) Foundation level certification or equivalent.
