About the Role :
Panacea-AI's Health Practitioners provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across various healthcare settings, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health promotion. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Health Practitioner delivers evidence-based care, coordinates treatment plans, and ensures optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting thorough clinical assessments, implementing treatment protocols, monitoring patient progress, and providing education to patients and their families.
The role requires strong communication skills, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to care. Health Practitioners are integral to supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey, whether in acute, chronic, or preventative care settings.
Key Responsibilities :
* Conduct telehealth appointments and optional in-clinic consultations or assist with surgery as required.
* Deliver assessments and interventions to optimise health outcomes.
* Guide patients through prehabilitation and recovery.
* Perform comprehensive assessments and optimise activities of daily living (ADL).
* Develop and implement care plans, including conservative management strategies (e.g., GLAD program, PRP therapy, or referrals for physiotherapy).
* Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care, including exercise programs, medication adherence, and recovery timelines.
* Use telehealth platforms (e.g., Zoom Health and Gentu) to deliver care.
Skills and Attributes :
* Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and care planning skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage patients virtually.
* Experience with telehealth tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
* Empathy, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Qualifications :
* Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Eligibility to obtain a Medicare Provider Number to claim, refer and request services.
* Prescriber number (or be eligible to gain one through Medicare).
* Strong knowledge of pre-op, post-op, and conservative management protocols.
