Key Responsibilities:
Daily Vehicle Inspections:
1. Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks to ensure your HGV Class 2 vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition.
2. Promptly report any defects or issues to your supervisor to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
Route Planning:
1. Efficiently plan your routes to ensure timely deliveries and collections, maximising productivity while adhering to schedules.
2. Utilise GPS technology and other navigation tools to avoid traffic and optimise route efficiency.
Multi-Drop Deliveries:
1. Perform an average of 15 drops per shift, ensuring that goods are delivered promptly and in perfect condition.
2. Handle a variety of goods, ensuring they are securely fastened and protected during transportation to prevent damage.
Loading and Unloading:
1. Safely load and unload goods at various delivery points, ensuring items are palletised and protected during transit.
2. Use appropriate equipment for loading and unloading, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, to ensure safety and efficiency.
Check-In/Check-Out System:
1. Utilise the company’s check-in/check-out system for effective tracking and documentation of deliveries and returns.
2. Ensure all items scanned are accurate to avoid discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
Documentation:
1. Complete all required paperwork accurately, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected, signed, and filed correctly upon delivery or collection.
2. Maintain records of delivery notes, invoices, and any customer feedback for future reference.
Customer Service:
1. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with store personnel, addressing and resolving any queries or issues professionally and promptly.
2. Build positive relationships with customers to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Health and Safety Compliance:
1. Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including safe handling and transportation of goods.
2. Report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses immediately to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements:
1. Valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
2. Minimum of 2 years HGV Class 2 driving experience.
3. Valid UK CPC and UK Digi Tacho cards.
4. Comfortable working early morning shifts starting between 1.30am and 5.30am.
5. Good level of written and spoken English.
6. Excellent knowledge of EU driving laws and regulations.
7. Ability to work alone and make decisions independently.
8. Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
