The Role We are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our finance team to support our Energy Infrastructure Transition and Sustainability practices. Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, this role provides high-quality financial support and insights to our Energy Infrastructure Transition and Sustainability practices. It supports the Business Unit Director, Business Area Managers, and senior finance leadership, enabling effective financial management of teams and contracts while contributing to the achievement of the company’s financial targets and growth. Key Responsibilities: Develop the relationships with practice management, as a Business Partner, providing first line finance support, insight, and direction to practice management. Play a lead role in the delivery of the P&L and Working Capital objectives for the practice, with a strong involvement in the management accounting process. In particular, interaction with the Project Manager community, understanding and reviewing project performance and forecast costs to complete. To include variance analysis for key P&L Accounts and Working Capital metrics, focussing on commercial validity and integrity of financial information. Provide insight, support and constructive challenge to Project Financial Performance Reviews. Provide financial analysis and insight in the monthly performance reviews, budgeting and forecasting processes, working with operational management to consolidate, analyse and understand the results prior to submission and presentation. Provide high quality, accurate and timely support and analysis on finance related matters, deal with queries and review procedures. Provide financial support for tenders and bids for new business. Completion of Monthly Management accounts for Business Unit. Liaising with commercial, sales and other central teams, as well as supporting the audit process, as required. Supporting Business Managers in the commercial modelling for large proposals. Supporting Practice Directors’ and Business Managers’ monthly reporting requirements by directly inputting monthly and YTD analysis into standard report templates. Key Competencies and Experience: Qualified or final stages of study (CIMA/ACCA) Relevant financial/commercial experience Solid Excel skills (e.g. SUMIFs / Lookups / Pivot tables) Excellent communicator Ability and flexibility to work under pressure to strict deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team, plan, prioritise and be responsible for deliverables Working here You will be warmly welcomed into our workplace where every voice matters.
