Join our growing family of Environmental Enforcement Officers. Environmental Enforcement Officers are given designated powers by the Local Authority to enforce local laws to protect the area from litter, dog fouling, and various other breaches of local environmental regulations.
Role Overview
The Environmental Enforcement Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining public health, safety, and environmental standards by enforcing environmental laws and regulations. This position involves investigating breaches, supporting officers in complex cases, and making informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enforce local laws and regulations related to environmental standards.
2. Investigate breaches and support the management of environmental issues.
3. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
4. Make informed decisions in challenging cases.
5. Collaborate with law enforcement and partner agencies.
Minimum Requirements
1. Understanding of housing law and its application within social housing.
2. Demonstrable ability to support officers in dealing with complex cases.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Flexibility in approach to work and ability to support other officers.
5. Knowledge of the Food Law Code of Practice.
