Gourley Veterinary Surgeons is seeking a confident Small Animal Vet to join our friendly and experienced team. We are a well-established, two-site, RCVS Accredited first opinion practice serving the Tameside and Manchester areas.
Location and Facilities:
Our site in Ashton-under-Lyne has undergone extensive refurbishment and is conveniently located near tram, bus, and train stations, with a beautiful country park just a five-minute walk away. Our purpose-built practice in Denton has recently opened and is equipped with the latest veterinary technology, offering a fantastic working environment. Both sites are easily accessible via the M67 and M60 motorways, making it ideal for commuting and travel to other areas. You will also have easy access to Manchester city centre, international airport, and the stunning Peak District National Park too, making this an ideal location to live and work in!
Our Team:
Consists of 8 veterinary surgeons, 13 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Nurses, and 6 Patient Care Assistants, along with our friendly Receptionists. We have Certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery and Cert AVP, who can provide support and mentorship.
About the Role:
* Hours: Full or part-time hours considered, with consulting-only roles available
* Rota: Full-time is a 4-day week with a share of the Saturday and Bank Holiday rota
* No Out-of-Hours: Enjoy a good work-life balance without on-call or Sunday duties
* Facilities: Two well-equipped operating sites featuring endoscopy, ultrasound, dental and digital X-ray, dental unit, slit lamp, diamond burr, and multiparameter monitors

Benefits and Salary:
Salary up to £60k pro rata, dependent on experience. We also offer a generous benefits package, including five weeks annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, up to 5 days' long service days, and the option to purchase up to 2 weeks additional leave per year, an industry-leading contributory pension, among many other benefits.
