Are you interested in working for Luton Sexual Health? We are based in the office block above The Mall in the centre of Luton. We are looking for an excellent communicator, who is non judgement and able to liaise with all levels, with people of all genders and sexualities and from a diverse background of ethnicity, religion and culture. We provide full sexual health, contraception and HIV services to our clients in a busy clinic. We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as bank staff initially on a part time basis. There are opportunities for permanent work with us and there are also opportunities to work full time. But for at least 15 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Provide high quality customer service to clients accessing sexual health, contraception and HIV services at Luton Sexual Health via telephone and walk in. Provide a welcoming and efficient first point of contact to the public and to our partners. Co-ordonate and facilitate the smooth running of the clinic. IT skills are needed to use the electronic patient record system to register clients, book appointments and manage the clinic. You will also provide administrative duties including scanning, data input, client text messages, condom card postal scheme and regular, accurate data collation, entry and presentation of a range of activity sets.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Front of House
Provide a warm. welcoming first point of contact to all clients, general public and professionals who visit/contact LSH. Manage a broad range of enquiries with professionalism, proactive and problem solving approach. Remain calm and polite under pressure. Manage instances of client dissatisfaction with respect/politeness. Signpost when needed.
Clinic Diary Co-ordination and EPR
Register new clients, enter full demographic details to create client record, update EPR system. Make, amend and cancel a range of appointment types. Prepare labels for clinic. Book interpreters when needed.
Co-ordination of clinic lists and client flow
Co-ordinate and manage changes when needed. Monitor capacity throughout the day, highlight any significant capacity/demand pressure. Check reception area to ensure all clients are being dealt with in a timely manner, alert seniors when issues with clinic timings.
Safeguarding and vulnerable clients
Observe and assess clients for signs of sexual exploitation or safeguarding concerns and escalate when needed following set protocols. Understand challenges faced by specific client groups and met their particular needs. Provide non judgemental care to people living with HIV, commercial sex workers, people who are LGBTQIA+ and transgender or non-binary and young people under 16.
Clinic Reception and Waiting areas responsibilities
Keep reception area clean and tidy, ensure phone is answered and clients are greeted in a polite, professional and timely manner.
Administration
Data input, scanning, sending texts to clients, photocopying, laminating, manage the condom card postal scheme. Manage courier samples. Monitor, order and maintain office supplies.
Professional
Attend mandatory training and demonstrate a committed approach to role and responsibilites.

1. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in Customer care or 5 GCSEs or above
