The post holder will be responsible for supporting Bradford Care Alliance's operational delivery and project support function by providing effective and proactive service and performance delivery, while supporting a portfolio of project developments.
It is the role of the Project and Operational Support Officer to work in support of the operational delivery function and in supporting a portfolio of service development initiatives. The post will work closely with the Operational Delivery and Performance Manager and the Service Development & Governance Manager in providing a robust and resilient delivery function for BCA. This will include ensuring service provision is operating effectively, performance reporting is implemented, and operational issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
The role provides a significant point of contact for BCA service providers and requires the post holder to work collaboratively, whilst promoting BCA in a positive manner to partner organisations and service users. The post holder will need to be well organised, with exceptional attention to detail, possess good numerical and verbal/written communication skills.
Main duties of the job
1. To support the operational delivery of BCA contracts such as Primary Care Streaming and Enhanced Access.
2. To support the operational team and Board in all aspects of office and administrative support.
3. Acting as the main point of office contact for BCA supporting and ensuring online and telephone queries are actioned as required.
4. Support and coordinate the production and dissemination of review meeting papers, notes and agendas for meetings.
5. Administrative management of the Board, project development meetings, quality assurance and Committees as required.
6. To support contractual expectations and compliance by ensuring early identification of issues and initiating timely, effective intervention to ensure that contractual plans and targets are delivered and risk assessments undertaken.
7. Develop and support the operational monitoring of the services and effective monthly reviews of contractual performance targets and expectations are undertaken and documented.
8. Visiting project sites as required and assessing operational compliance in line with BCA policies and requirements. This will include auditing and updating manuals and ordering consumables for the sites.

Job responsibilities

4. To complete administration incidents/issues relating to business interruption.
5. To manage and update all filing systems, ensuring all project policy files are kept up to date.
6. To create and develop new files and systems where appropriate.
7. Attendance at Project Committees as required.
8. Develop and maintain effective team working and relationships with colleagues and other teams.
9. Undertake any other relevant activities which fall under the general scope of this role as directed.
10. Willingness to work flexibly and develop the team and needs of a growing organisation.
Person Specification
Experience
* The ability to build good working relationships with contacts internally and externally.
* Excellent written and communication skills, requiring diplomacy and maturity.
* Ability to use initiative and willingness to take on additional tasks.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage time effectively are essential.
* Ability to utilise Excel and Word, and ability to learn new systems.
* Must be able to work alone if required, using own initiative in a proactive manner, as well as being an effective team player.
* Reliable and consistent with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task, with a positive and friendly attitude.
* SystmOne experience is desirable but not essential and will be a key part of the role. Training and support will be provided if needed.
Qualifications
* GCSE Grade A-C in English & Maths or equivalent.
