Your Role and Responsibilities Business Analysts at IBM are subject matter experts that build the bridge between our business and our clients, immersing themselves into the market to understand problems and find innovative solutions. Be ready to navigate the complex relationships that make the business world run and find the actionable insights that result in great business decisions. Your role will involve: - Discussing and elaborating requirements with end users and client stakeholders. - Facilitating and leading workshops to expand requirements and provide solutions. - Be involved in the full project lifecycle and have the central role of liaising with people and teams across the wider organisation, as well as Product Owners, Architects, and Developers within the Integration team. - Providing the development team with user stories that have clear descriptions and acceptance criteria, two sprints ahead. - Investigating client's activities, playing a key role by testing systems and providing competitive commercial solutions. - Enable user-centric design through continuous engagement with end users. - Supporting the Product Owner and the business to solve their challenges from design to implementation. Required Technical and Professional Expertise - Agile Principles, Methodology and Practices - Systems and Business Analysis experience - Ability to draw process maps, write user stories, and epics. - Evidence of experience with gathering and analyzing technical and non-technical information, documenting processes and solutions to solve specific problems or meet business/systems outcomes. Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise A Technical grounding, background - key for this is to understand technical concepts that are the core of client need. This could come from moving from either a dev/test role into BA work. or potentially from having a technical degree or previous tech work experience. For a very junior resource it could come from a passion to learn the underlying tech alongside the BA role. Communication skills - confident to speak up, to raise questions, question what initially told to make sure correct / will meet overall business need. Ability to raise issues / blockers in a timely manner to ensure appropriate support provided. Inquiring mind - curious and wants to understand 'why' and 'how' Collaborative working style - Ability to step back and look at the bigger picture, to support wider team planning, both BA work and how this may impact/ support delivery planning - Project management / leadership: Clear evidence of taking ownership for area of responsibility and driving it forward to completion in an agreed timeframe, working with delivery leads, SMs, and team.
